Our hearts are lifted to God through our music. We hear God's word to us in Scripture and Sermon. We connect to one another and to God in Communion. We pray for our world in the prayers. Come worship with us. Hear how God loves all of us, how God created all of us, how God sends all of us out into his world to heal and restore it to its original beauty. |

The music and choir at St. Paul’s On-The-Hill are under the direction of Carolyn Black-Hightower. She has been the coordinator and director of music experiences at St. Paul’s for the past 20 years. The music presented here covers the universe of music both vocal and instrumental, and ranges from contemporary, to classical, gospel, and sacred. |

From June 6—17, 2009, St. Paul’s was home to a Summer Music Camp for 45 students ranging in age from 11-19. Students met their teachers at 6 PM and parents picked them up at 8 PM. Meanwhile they learned new skills in beginning and advanced guitar, rudimental and African hand drumming, and sight singing and had vocal coaching. On June 17th, there was a program for the parents—a “Show and Tell” where students demonstrated what they had learned. Teachers were Ann Gulian, Charlotte Holton, Sam Sherman, Art Hightower, Matt Young, Christopher Noye, Timothy Noye, and Dylan Criado. A healthy snack was provided each day at 7 PM thanks to Melanie and Roger Rowe and Jo McGrath and other parents. |

Funds for the Summer Music Camp were provided by the Social Services of the Episcopal Diocese and we hope to provide this Camp to the community of Ossining again in 2010. Thanks to the Diocese, the camp was free to the students who attended. Trinity Wall Street has provided a grant for a year-round Youth Music Program which is scheduled to begin on April 5th, 2010. |
